MeshNetics ========== Release Notes ============= ZDK-A1281-CPT ZigBit(tm) Development Kit (ZDK) Complete Release 2.0 Version 2.0.0.1 Date 04/2008 I. Scope ======== The purpose of the Release Notes is to specify the composition of ZigBit (tm) Development Kit rel. 2.0, ver. 2.0.0.1, and system requirements. The known issues of this release are also described in this document. II. Products/configurations =========================== This ZigBit(tm) Development Kit includes the following products by MeshNetics: - MeshBean2 hardware p/n WDB-A1281-P1, rev. 2.2, 1 item, with ZigBit-B0 hardware OEM module p/n ZDM-A1281-B0, rev. 1.2.2, on board; - MeshBean2 hardware p/n WDB-A1281-A2, rev. 2.2, 1 item, with ZigBit-A2 hardware OEM module p/n ZDM-A1281-A2, rev. 1.2.2, on board; - MeshBean2 hardware p/n WDB-A1281-E1, rev. 2.2, 1 item, with ZigBit-B0 hardware OEM module p/n ZDM-A1281-B0, rev. 1.2.2, on board; - ZigBeeNet Software, ver. 1.0. IIa. Hardware ------------- ZigBit-B0 OEM module is based on: - ATmega1281V Microcontroller by Atmel; - AT86RF230 RF Transceiver by Atmel. ZigBit-A2 OEM module is based on: - ATmega1281V Microcontroller by Atmel; - AT86RF230 RF Transceiver by Atmel; - Dual-Chip Antenna. MeshBean2 board p/n WDB-A1281-P1 includes integrated PCB antenna. MeshBean2 board p/n WDB-A1281-E1 includes external antenna connector. MeshBean2 board p/n WDB-A1281-A2 includes dual chip antenna integrated into ZigBit module. In the documents within this release each particular configuration of MeshBean2 is treated as MeshBean2 board. IIb. Software ------------- ZigBit Development Kit includes the following software: - ZigBeeNet stack 1.0 (libraries and header files); - source files for BSP component of ZigBeeNet stack; - sample application source files (ZBNDemo, Peer2peer, Pingpong, Lowpower, Blink, Throughput Test); - evaluation tool binary files (SerialNet, ZBNDemo/WSN Monitor, Hardware Test, Range Measurement Tool); - Serial Bootloader utility. III. 3-rd party accessories and components ========================================== IIIa. Hardware accessories -------------------------- The ZigBit(tm) Development Kit delivers the following accessories: - USB cable, 3 items; - Ribbon cable with IDC-20 connector, 2 items. IIIb. Software components ------------------------- The ZigBit(tm) Development Kit delivers the following software components: - CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver - Java Runtime Environment JRE 6 Update 3 IV. Compatibility and minimum system requirements ================================================= PC CPU: Intel Pentium III or higher, 800 MHz RAM: 128 MB Hard disk free space: 50 MB Software Operating system: Windows2000/XP Java machine: Java Runtime Environment, either JRE 5 Update 8 or more recent USB driver for CP210x IDE AVR Studio 4.13 + Service Pack 1 + AVR GCC 4.1.2 compiler available within the WinAVR 20070525 package. V. Revision History =================== ZDK 2.0 created. VI. Known issues and limitations ================================ Serial Bootloader ----------------- Serial Bootloader does not accept command line parameters except -p, -b and -f. SerialNet --------- Note that the supplied SerialNet version is based on the older software stack, eZeeNet(tm) 1.7.0.2.
